Free online booking and scheduling for solo and small service businesses

Do you need a website for a service business?

Not on day one. Clients need to find you, see what you charge and book a time. A booking page and a Google Business Profile cover that, and you can add a website later without starting over.

What clients need from you online

A way to find you

Most people search for the trade and the town. Your Google Business Profile is often the first thing they see.

A reason to trust you

Reviews, photos of your work and clear prices do more than a long About page.

A way to book

Open times they can pick without calling, texting back and forth or waiting for a reply.

A way to reach you

A phone number and email for questions, shown on your booking page.

A starter setup without a website

This takes an afternoon and costs nothing.

  1. Create your booking page. Pick your trade and your services, add-ons and starting prices are filled in. Adjust them and set your hours.
  2. Add it to Google. Create a free Business Profile and add your booking link.
  3. Add it to your social profiles. Your Instagram bio, TikTok and Facebook Page.
  4. Share it everywhere else. Your email signature, texts to past clients and replies to anyone who asks for a quote.
  5. Ask happy clients for Google reviews. With Pro, your booking page can link to them.

What your booking page already covers

It works as a simple one-page site for a solo business.

  • Your services, add-ons and prices, worked out for each job
  • Open times from your hours and existing bookings
  • Your contact email, phone, business address and website link, if you add them in Settings > Business info
  • Quote requests with photos for jobs you can't price up front
  • Your cancellation policy, and card deposits if you want them
  • Your logo, cover photo and service photos with Pro

It isn't a website builder: there's one page, no blog and no extra pages.

When a website is worth it

A website starts to pay off when you want more than one page can hold: a portfolio, longer service descriptions, separate pages for the areas you serve, or a landing page for ads. It also gives you an address that's fully yours.

When you get there, nothing is wasted. Put your booking page on the new site with the booking widget (one line of code), add the site's address under Your webpage in Settings > Business info so it shows on your booking page, and set a Return to URL there so clients get a button back to your site after they book.

Questions

Do I need a website to start a service business?

No. A booking page, a Google Business Profile and your social profiles let people find you, see your prices and book. Many solo businesses add a website later.

Can I use my booking page as my website?

For a solo business starting out, it covers the basics: services, prices, open times, contact details and booking on one page. It isn't a full website builder, so there's no blog or extra pages.

Can I add my booking page to Google without a website?

Yes. Add it as a booking link on your Google Business Profile.

What does it cost?

A 1MinuteBooking booking page is free with no time limit. Pro, at $10 a month, adds your logo, photos and colors.

When should I get a website?

When you need more than one page: a portfolio, detailed service pages, pages for each area you serve, or landing pages for ads. Your booking page then goes onto it with one line of code.
