Free online booking and scheduling for solo and small service businesses

Your bookings in Google Calendar, Outlook or Apple Calendar

Add one private link to your calendar and every booking shows up there. New, moved and cancelled bookings update by themselves.

Free on every plan, no credit card required

How it works

Set it up once, in about a minute. After that there's nothing to do.

  1. Turn it on in Settings > Calendar sync. You get a private calendar link.
  2. Click your calendar: Google Calendar, Outlook.com, Outlook (work or school) or Apple Calendar. It opens with the link filled in - just confirm. For any other calendar app, copy the link and paste it where it says "Subscribe" or "From URL".
  3. That's it. Your bookings appear as their own calendar, and your calendar app checks for changes by itself.
1MinuteBooking Settings, Calendar sync: buttons for Google Calendar, Outlook.com, Outlook (work or school) and Apple Calendar, the private calendar link with a Copy link button, and a note to keep the link private.
Settings > Calendar sync. One click adds it to the calendar you already use.

What shows up in your calendar

Each booking is an event with everything you need for the job.

Service and client

Titled like "Haircut - Marcus Reed", at the right time and length in your time zone.

Address

The booking's address is the event's location, so your phone can give directions.

Client details

Phone, email, services, add-ons and the client's notes in the event's description.

A link to the booking

Opens it in your 1MinuteBooking dashboard, to confirm, move or mark it paid.

Pending bookings, marked

Shown as "Pending:" and tentative until you confirm them - or left out, if you prefer.

Travel time

A "Travel" event before a booking that has travel time, and "Travel back" after it when you block both sides.

Your link, your choices

Pick what goes in, and replace or switch off the link whenever you like.

1MinuteBooking Settings, Calendar sync turned on: Add it to your calendar buttons, the private calendar link, a Keep this link private warning, What's in your calendar (always Confirmed and Completed, Pending your choice, never Cancelled, No-show, unpriced quote requests or spam), switches for Include Pending bookings and Show travel time, a note on how often calendars update, and Get a new link and Turn off buttons.
The whole Calendar sync page, for a sample barbershop.
  • Include Pending bookings - on by default, so a request you haven't confirmed yet still holds the time in your calendar.
  • Show travel time - the drive to (and back from) a mobile job, as its own event.
  • Get a new link - the old link stops working straight away. Use it if the link ever ends up somewhere it shouldn't.
  • Turn off - the link stops working and your calendars stop updating.

Good to know

  • Your calendar app decides how often it checks. Apple Calendar lets you choose, as often as every 5 minutes. Outlook checks every few hours, and Google Calendar every few hours up to about a day. Your 1MinuteBooking dashboard always shows new bookings straight away.
  • It goes one way. Bookings go into your calendar; events you add there don't block times on your booking page. For a dentist appointment or a day off, add a blackout.
  • The link is private. Anyone who has it can see the bookings in it, so only add it to your own calendars.
  • Free on every plan. No Google or Microsoft account to connect, and nothing for your clients to do.

Questions

Does it work with Google Calendar, Outlook and Apple Calendar?

Yes. It works with any calendar app that can subscribe to a calendar by its web address (an iCal or .ics link): Google Calendar, Outlook.com, Outlook for Microsoft 365, Apple Calendar on Mac, iPhone and iPad, Thunderbird and others.

How quickly do new bookings show up?

That's up to your calendar app - it checks the link on its own schedule. Apple Calendar lets you choose how often, as often as every 5 minutes. Outlook checks every few hours, and Google Calendar every few hours up to about a day; neither can be made faster. Your 1MinuteBooking dashboard always shows new bookings straight away.

Is it a two-way sync?

No, it goes one way: bookings go into your calendar. Events you add in your calendar don't block times on your booking page - add a blackout in Settings for that. Changing or deleting an event in your calendar doesn't change the booking either; do that in 1MinuteBooking and your calendar follows.

Which bookings are included?

Confirmed and Completed bookings, and Pending ones marked "Pending:" unless you switch them off - from 90 days ago onward. Cancelled and No-show bookings, quote requests you haven't priced yet and spam are never included. When a booking is cancelled or moved, your calendar removes or moves it at its next check.

Can anyone else see my bookings?

Only someone who has your link. It's a long random address that can't be guessed, but anyone who has it can see the bookings in it - client names, phone numbers, emails, addresses and notes - so only add it to your own calendars. If it gets out, click Get a new link: the old one stops working straight away.

Can I add it on my phone?

Yes. On an iPhone or iPad, tap Apple Calendar in Settings > Calendar sync. For Google Calendar, tap Google Calendar there - it opens Google Calendar with your link filled in, on your phone or a computer.

How is this different from the Add to Calendar button on a booking?

Add to Calendar copies one booking into your calendar once - if the booking moves later, that copy doesn't. Calendar sync keeps every booking in your calendar and keeps it up to date.

What does it cost?

Calendar sync is free on every plan.
