Free online booking and scheduling for solo and small service businesses

A quote request form, with photos

For jobs you can't price up front. Clients answer your questions and attach photos from your booking page, and you reply with a price. Nothing goes on your calendar until you confirm it.

Free plan, no credit card required

How it works

Turn it on in Settings > Quote requests. It's free on every plan.

  1. A "Don't see what you need?" box sits below your services on your booking page, with a Request a Quote button.
  2. They answer your quote questions, can pick a preferred date and time of day, add notes and attach up to 5 photos.
  3. You get an email with the subject "New quote request", and Bookings shows it under Needs attention.
  4. You price it with a scope of work and a quoted price, or by checking services you already offer.
  5. You set the date and time and send your price; Email client opens a ready-made draft. Mark it Pending or Confirmed, and from there it's a normal booking.

Ask what you'd ask on site

Up to 25 quote questions, separate from your normal booking form. Most trades start with a suggested set you can edit.

Pressure washing
What needs washing? Driveway size, patio or walkway size, deck size, fence length, surface material, home height.
Dog training
Breed and age, what you need help with, type of program, where sessions would be, number of dogs, any bites, and the behavior or goals.
Voiceover
Type of project, script length, where it will be used, the voice style you have in mind, deadline.
Ghostwriting
Type of project, approximate length, how far along it is, deadline, publishing plans, budget.

Questions can offer a "Not applicable" answer where it makes sense. If a question already asks for a date, like "Event date", turn off the preferred date so clients aren't asked twice.

Photos, handled carefully

Up to 5 per request

Clients attach photos from their phone. You see them as thumbnails on the request and can delete any of them.

Shrunk before upload

Photos are resized in the client's browser first, so they send quickly on a phone connection.

Location data removed

GPS location and camera details are stripped out, and anything that isn't a real image is rejected.

Only you can see them

Photos are private to your account.

Deleted after 90 days

They're removed automatically 90 days after the job is completed or cancelled, or after an unanswered request.

Off where they don't help

Photos start off for trades like DJs and writers. Turn them on or off any time.

Why not just a contact form?

  • Your questions get answered the first time, so you aren't emailing back for sizes and photos.
  • It never blocks your calendar. A quote request holds no time slot; it starts blocking time once you mark it Pending or Confirmed.
  • It sits next to your bookable services. Clients book the simple jobs straight away and send a request for the rest.
  • Same spam protection as bookings: hCaptcha, submission limits, blocked clients and your spam filters.
  • It works on your website too, through the booking widget.

Quote requests don't take payment, since there's no price yet. Once you've priced one, collect a deposit the way you'd take any payment outside the site.

Questions

Can clients send photos with a quote request?

Yes, up to 5 per request, if Let clients attach photos is on. Location and camera details are removed, and only you can see them.

Does a quote request block time on my calendar?

No. It holds no time slot until you set it to Pending or Confirmed, so other clients can still book that time.

Can I ask my own questions?

Yes. Up to 25 quote questions, separate from your normal booking form. Most trades start with a suggested set.

How do I send the client my price?

Open the request, enter a scope of work and price (or check your services), set a date and time, and use Email client to send a ready-made draft. Then mark it Pending or Confirmed.

Is the quote request form free?

Yes, on every plan, including the photos.
